Children’s Classes
These classes are usually organized into Fall, Winter and Spring Sessions of about 10 Saturday mornings in each session. The classes run for 1.5 hours. The ages of the children range from 6-12. Each Saturday is devoted to a different activity which can include drawing and painting in various media, sculpture (sometimes with found objects), printmaking, and creative crafts. Each Saturday also has a new theme to stimulate creative ideas and we often have fun with jokes, storytelling and music. Weather permitting, we will go on sketching trips.
Art Parties
My studio can seat about 15 people and so it is available if you want to organize an art party or gathering. Please contact me for further information.
Adults and Seniors Classes
On Wednesday afternoons for 2 hours, my small group of local adults gathers to work on individual projects in a casual workshop atmosphere. It’s a friendly group and I give lots of over-the-shoulder help and creative conversation. Everybody brings their own unique creative visions and it’s so enjoyable to watch their growth as artists.
Private Instruction and Consultation
By appointment, I give private art lessons and portfolio consultations. High school art students have found these one-on-one consultations very useful when preparing their portfolios for art college and university interviews.
